It has always been my husband and I’s dream to remodel/design a home.  We started dating in High School back in 1998.  From there he went into the military and I to college…separate lives, but we always stayed together.  In 2004, we both settled in together in Las Vegas.  We lived there for a whirl wind of 11 years together working hard and trying to figure out what we wanted most out of life.  After having our first daughter, Tilley, in 2014 we decided it was time to take action.  Our goal was to live a life of design and not default.  We went for a picnic to Mt. Charleston and designed what would be the next chapter in our life.  That consisted of me keeping my corporate job, us moving to a mountain side far from the city, having a home with a view, and him remodeling it.  So, the very next weekend after that talk, we went to Bishop, CA to start looking at real estate.  We found the home we currently live in, it was not on the market, and called the owner (whom happened to be Dean Potter) to make an offer that turned into a purchase.  Long story short, we finished up our jobs in Las Vegas and moved to Bishop about 6 months after purchasing our home.  The remodel is almost complete and we love it.  We added a second child to our family since that picnic, I kept my corporate job, and our home is on a mountain side with an amazing view!!  I really wanted to document this time in our life as it is so special to me.  Much more goes into this story and how we got here, but it does provide truth to the fact that you can have whatever you choose to dream of if you just make it a priority and work diligently towards it.  We are trying to figure out where we want to go next and what our new goals are, but for now, we’re enjoying our new view…
