We couldn’t resist sharing one more wedding during the 2015! John and Chelsea’s day brings us back to warmer, sunnier months, at the very scenic Links at Gettysburg. We love the sunny skies, the pretty blue details, and of course that adorable flower girl! As often is the case, Chelsea’s original vision for her wedding was brought up a few notches when she found this amazing dress, and we’re so happy to see how beautifully this vision was transformed. Turner Photography Studio captured all of the warmest moments and prettiest details, especially that cake! Karen Rodkey Cakes really did such an amazing job – we love each and every tier!
It had only been one day on Match.com when John came across Chelsea and reached out to her. After two weeks of chatting online, they set a date for dinner when they would finally meet in person. It couldn’t be that easy, could it? For Chelsea and John, it truly was and that dinner date became the first of many on their way to happily ever after. It wasn’t long before John asked Chelsea to be his bride (with the help of their pups!) and they started their journey to ‘I do.
Although Chelsea had dreamed up her ideal rustic wedding (a la Pinterest!), it wasn’t until she found her elegant wedding gown that they decided on a more formal and classy affair. While it was the perfect feel for their special day, it didn’t quite seem to matter when Chelsea stepped out to see her husband among all of their friends and family. The details of the day faded away and, for that moment, it was only about Chelsea and John and their everlasting love.
After tying the knot, the newlyweds took a few minutes away from the hustle and bustle to really soak in the day. From there, they hopped on golf carts with their wedding party to shoot pictures around the golf course, which was a blast! As the Mr. and Mrs. were out and about, guests enjoyed a cigar bar, created and stocked by John’s father, before making their way to the dazzling reception area to welcome the bride and groom.
When it comes to wedding planning, Chelsea and John consider themselves experts – although they don’t plan to use that skill again! “Try not to stress – every couple has arguments about wedding planning, so don’t sweat it!” Chelsea shared. In addition, “remember the wedding is about you, the couple,” John enthused. “Make sure it is what you guys want – family members may have a lot of opinions, but ultimately it is your day!”
